What are your personal fitness goals?
To master the handstand press, achieve clean pull-ups on the pull-up bar, improve my time per km during a 5km run, improve my overall strength and power output during physical training, improve my self-taught swimming strokes, and learn to do unassisted Pincha and Scorpio yoga poses.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
I would show women that a healthy lifestyle is achievable and does not need to be a scary journey.
My lifestyle is one that the everyday person can aspire to and actually attain and sustain. I like to teach people and equip them to make the right decisions, to know and to understand why they need to do what they need to do to lead a healthy lifestyle. I would use the money to further my studies and increase my knowledge and understanding of the health and fitness industry.
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
Set your goal, and then show up for yourself, it is the least that you can do for yourself.
Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
I love to move, I literally can’t sit still. I love to challenge my strength. which is why I gravitate towards HIIT. My approach to health and fitness is mindful and comes from a place of compassion, I therefore have zero tolerance for injury-inducing training and extreme restrictive diets. I typically do strength training 3 times a week, and practice yoga twice a week, and do something chilled over the weekends like a hike. I recently started rollerblading again. I enjoy a balanced diet and I don’t believe in extreme restrictive diets. I practice intuitive eating, leaning towards a plant-based diet, though I do eat animal products.
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
I represent what people aspire to, my approach and lifestyle to fitness and nutrition is realistic, achievable, and sustainable. I believe that life is about choice, and you have to choose your health and fitness every day. I want people to have a good relationship with food and understand that it is a source of fuel for their body. It all starts with educating people so they can understand.
