What are your personal fitness goals?
To live a fulfilling life whereby I am strong mentally and physically. I am at peace, comfortable in my own skin and happy with me.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
I want to be able to inspire women to own who they are and take charge of their lives, to set themselves free from negative talk, judgement, body shaming and comparison. Basically, love yourself enough to want to make yourself happy as opposed to waiting or seeking someone else to do that for you.
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
Never a failure, always a lesson.
Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
I work out 4-5 days a week. My morning routines include yoga, stretching, Pilates and meditation, and in the evenings I do strength workouts, which include HIIT and lifting weights. I target different parts of my body. I’m not a salad girl and I love my food, so I never cheat myself when it comes to that. I prefer home-cooked meals as opposed to junk, and I don’t really have a sweet tooth. I also don’t have a lot of cheat days but I do get cravings. I don’t believe in having a strict diet to a point where you end up starving yourself, but I do believe that one needs to be cautious about what you eat.
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
Fitness saved me, healed me and it is the only thing that makes sense in my life. My journey hasn’t been an easy one and I feel like I have a purpose in life, which is to help other women find their own voice and happiness. I don’t want to just be a personal trainer or transform people’s bodies. I want to be a wellness coach to transform other women’s lives by helping them see that they can rely on themselves to build their confidence.
