I have my Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety for the Construction and Mining industries, as well as my Higher Certificate in Exercise Science via HFPA. I coached and trained clients but left that career when my son was born and to help my husband run our business. My beautiful son is four years old and I absolutely love being a mom and wife. God plays the biggest role in what I have and where and who I am today. His guidance in my life has been ever present. I am the type of person who will make a point of letting you know how beautiful and worthy you are as I have been on the other side where I got made to feel like I am not good enough. I got bullied, called names, and pushed around. I have a really big heart and will give my only shirt off my back to someone who doesn’t have one. I am shy yet also absolutely love encouraging those around me. We all have our own time to shine and until it’s my time, I will help and support others to make sure their rays glow. Every day presents us with new opportunities where we have to work hard to move forward. I am me, unfiltered, with flaws. I am proud and embrace me – someone who is perfectly imperfect.

How does fitness fit into your lifestyle?
It is my lifestyle. From waking up in the morning to going to bed at night, I always try to stay active. Whether it is going to the gym, doing my chores on the farm or in the house, or playing with my son. That’s the beauty of fitness – it’s only limited to what you make yourself believe it can be. You have no idea how much it helps making laundry an exercise. Extra squats every Wednesday! This approach has helped me keep my body the way it is all year round. Mindset is also so important. There should always be a balance. Listening to your body plays a key role. When it comes to the competing side of things, my husband supports me emotionally and physically. I also have support from my friends and family. I don’t have to fit fitness into my lifestyle when it forms part of my life. I am grateful because I have had the most amazing coaches who got me to where I am today.
What are your personal fitness goals?
Competing overseas has always been a dream of mine. My personal fitness goals would be to improve my physique to compete among amazing athletes on an international stage.
