Tell us more about yourself
What are your personal fitness goals?
My goal is to receive my Springbok colours for bodybuilding by qualifying for the South African World Championship team in 2021. I plan to do this by pushing myself to new limits physically to produce my best competition physique to date. I would also like to enrol in a fitness diploma so that I can qualify as a personal trainer and help other women in their fitness journeys.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
I would use my own personal fitness journey to show ladies that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I’m already lucky enough to be surrounded by so many beautiful women who I have inspired to start their own journeys. By having a bigger platform to share my experiences I would love to be able to help other women embrace their strengths instead of focusing on their weaknesses.
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
Work out because you love your body. Not because you hate it.
Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
As an athlete I strive to create a balance of healthy body, mind and spirit. I start my day with meditation and journaling, followed by an online boxing class. Cardio gets me pumped up for the day. I love to do my strength training in the afternoon. This is usually followed by a live online workout with my coach to end off my training for the day. I love to stay active and finding new ways to move my body is a happy place for me. Nutrition is super important to me too. I follow a very clean and balanced meat free diet that helps me keep good shape and powers my workouts.
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
I have been through a lot on my own personal fitness journey. I am a relatable example of how anyone can change their lifestyle and achieve their goals. I can inspire women to embrace who they are and build a healthy body and mind. I would love to be able to show other women that you don’t need to be an athlete to reach your fitness goals. Your highest self and your best body is completely obtainable with the right support and guidance.
