Tell us more about yourself
What are your personal fitness goals?
I want to maintain my current physique but feel that there’s always room to get fitter and faster. I don’t necessarily want to compete again but I do love the glitz and glam so I would love to do more appearances, photoshoots and media. I would love to get more involved in social fitness events that all women can compete in.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
I would love to use this platform to inspire and motivate other women with my personal story. I am a real, relatable woman – a wife, a mother, a business owner. I used to use these as reasons not to look after myself, saying there wasn’t enough time. I want to inspire other women to start prioritising themselves and show them how to make time for their health.
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
Our bodies are capable of anything, it’s our minds we need to convince.

As a working mother, I am extremely organised to fit everything in. Time management is key, as is a strong support structure. I wake up early to ensure that I can get a training session in at home before the kids wake up. I prep my snacks the night before to ensure that I don’t pick on unhealthy foods when I’m on the run. My husband and I take turns making healthy lunches and dinners for the whole family. Although we prepare a balanced diet, I generally steer away from refined carbs and will opt for more protein and veg than the rest of the family dish up. I drink 3 litres of water daily and cut out alcohol, apart from the odd celebratory glass of wine or bubbly. Over weekends, we try to do outdoor activities with the kids like cycling or playing at the park.
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
I am passionate about health, fitness and beauty as well as empowering women. I believe I have what it takes to represent and promote the brand to all South African women and men alike.
