What are your personal fitness goals?
To get stronger, faster and have aesthetics. I want to be able to perform any activity or sport of my liking without running out of breath. I also want to be able to run around with my grandkids without struggling to catch my breath.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
I want to encourage all women young or old that you need to live a healthy lifestyle because it is not just about having the body you dream of but about the future you. I want to inspire them to take care of their physical and mental health as well. I would also like to show them how fitness has improved my life and makes you have overall confidence because it makes you feel good. That when you get older and look at yourself, you are proud of how you look because you managed to make healthy choices. I want women to look at me and think that it is also possible for them to change their lifestyle and be able to enjoy eating healthy meals. I want to teach them about balance, that it is okay to have a doughnut if you are craving one and fitness is all about balance and moderation is key. I believe that with the BiogenFaceOfFitness I will be able to encourage women to live a healthy lifestyle and that it is never too late to change your habits and that you can achieve your fitness goals through healthy living and that it does not even have to break your bank.
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
Consistency is key and excuses do not help you reach your goals.
Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
I make health and wellness a priority in my life. I live and breathe fitness. I am goal orientated when it comes to my fitness life. I currently have a goal to shred down in the next 3 months. I develop my own eating plans, training routine and time for my mental health. I believe very much in nutrition and that it is important to keep note of what we eat and be aware so that once your body starts changing, you are able to know what has helped you or you know what to change if your body stops changing. I am also currently studying towards my personal training certificate because I want to learn more details about the health and fitness industry and I want to help as many people as I can to change their bodies and lifestyles. I usually post workout ideas on my Instagram and Twitter to help people to have some ideas when they go for their next training sessions and I post my progress pictures to inspire people that through healthy living you can transform your body. I usually wake up in the morning and meditate, write down my daily tasks and then start training. After training I usually eat my meals and then get on with work. I also prep my food every Sunday and Wednesday for the rest of the week because I believe that preparation is key to prevent falling off your plans and routine. I recently managed to get my mom into living a healthy lifestyle and eating better and I am proud because her body has also changed and she eats less processed food. If there is anything health and fitness related, I always get tagged to answer questions and I am able to help a lot of people with their struggles when it comes to fitness and wellness. I live fitness and I believe that I can be able to change people’s lives.
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
I think I am the Biogen Face of Fitness because I am proof that fitness not only helps you get the body you want, but it also changes how you see life, how you approach situations and how you live your life. I believe that I can inspire a lot of women to choose healthy living and show them that it is never too late to change your eating habits. I know that I can put the message out there that consistency is key and that nutrition can change a lot about your life, from your body to your skin and for your mental well being. I believe that I can share my story to inspire someone to choose a better alternative to unhealthy pancakes to make a healthier alternative. I know that my smile can bring hope to someone who has given up on reaching their fitness goals or someone who struggles to get up and make working out a routine and not feel like they are bored. I want to show people that you can achieve your fitness goals by doing what you enjoy, from running, yoga to hiking. I also think I am the Biogen Face of Fitness because I know I can make people aware that just because you are a woman it does not mean you shouldn’t be lifting heavy weights and that you can be comfortable in the way you look, that you should wear your muscles with confidence and should inspire other women to do the same.
