What are your personal fitness goals?
To maintain a body fat percentage less than 25%. I’m also pushing my body to its limits, getting it stronger daily. I plan to venture into other fitness styles such as yoga.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
Most people give up on their fitness journey because they try to do too much at once. This ambassadorship would provide me the opportunity to reach more people and help those starting their fitness journey by showing them that a fitness lifestyle doesn’t have to feel like work. I will encourage the ones that have given up, or those who just need that extra push to get back to it and believe in themselves again.
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
Mindset is everything.
Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
I work out 4-5 times a week, mainly focusing on strength training. I enjoy challenging myself, seeing exactly what my body is capable of. I also enjoy active rest days, where I either stretch, do mobility movements, go hiking or participate in park runs. I focus on eating whole foods. My potions depend on my fitness goals at that time. I constantly change my short-term goals, as this gives me an excuse to always take progress pictures and ensures I get out of my comfort zone and learn what works for me. I love sharing my fitness journey throughout my social media platforms.
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
I am passionate about fitness and wellness and I love encouraging people to adopt a healthy lifestyle. I am currently in the second year of my second fitness journey. Having failed the first time gives me a better perspective in understanding the difficulties that one faces through this journey. I also understand how to overcome them. The fitness journey is not just about reaching certain body goals, it’s about one’s overall health and well being, and this is the message I live by. I encourage people to substitute a bad habit with a healthy one, one day at a time.
