During varsity, I decided to take a leap of faith and apply to become a sales consultant at a premier cellular retailer. At the time I was a Bachelor of Sciences Student. With my optimistic, outspoken, excellent communication, organisational and planning skills, I got that job. I later ventured into the physical aspect of my current career to become a fitness instructor. In those years I was also a model, doing mostly commercial work! I juggled all of them at once. I learnt so much during those years, including resilience, the power of a positive mind, hard work and how to thrive under pressure! Those are all qualities I still possess! I love working. It makes me happy and sane. However, I also love making the work environment fun and joyful because I believe you improve performance when people are themselves. And that’s what I stand for in any work environment. I am very bubbly, fun and energetic!

How does fitness fit into your lifestyle?
I am a dietitian and therefore a frontline worker. I advocate for good nutrition. However, good nutrition alone is not enough to boost immunity. Therefore, incorporating fitness to balance out a healthy and active lifestyle is mandatory! I run 5km every second day if i am not at the gym doing cardio exercises! This helps me avoid burnout and improve my mental health to be able to be a good servant to the community. Additionally, fun activities like cycling brings me and my friends closer together! And that’s how fitness fits into my lifestyle !
What are your personal fitness goals?
Keeping fit has helped me in more ways than one. I am comfortable in my own shape and size and have improved my mental health drastically! However, my fitness goal would be resistance training and learning how to control my breathing when doing high-intensity training! As I do 5km every second day and train at the gym, I would also love to pass on the knowledge in layman’s terms to society one day!
