What are your personal fitness goals?
It’s about more than just aesthetics for me. I like to challenge myself and see what my body is capable of. When I’m in-between goals, I really love exploring and mixing in different movement styles like plyometrics, handstands,gymnastics and calisthenics style movements and HIIT workouts. Some of my fitness goals for now include becoming stronger, having more endurance, being more athletic and having more mobility and flexibility in my movements. No matter what my goal is, I always incorporate functional muscle building.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
I will use this platform to inspire and educate people on how to live a healthy, yet balanced lifestyle, as I think this is the most important thing that many people struggle with most. I will educate people on how to eat, train and live to be their best, happy and healthiest self. I want to do this through showing them healthy and tasty recipes, fun and challenging workouts and educational posts on supplements and nutrition. The things I share will be fun, inspiring, educational and simple, because everyone’s at a different stage of their journey.
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
Making sure I fail often enough so that I’m pushing myself to progress.
Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
I focus on free weights, compound exercises, mixing up my planes of movement and also switching up the tempo during my sessions. I firmly believe in fueling your body with nutritious delicious food. There is no shame in enjoying all facets of food, it’s a glorious experience, so I work on a 80/20 approach. I love to experiment with baking treats and making foods that are high protein, low carb and low fat to show that it can fit into any lifestyle, showing that “healthy” doesn’t have to be boring or strict.
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
I believe I can inspire and educate so many more people through this platform. I also bring a unique style of living a well balanced and healthy lifestyle that includes unique workouts, recipes and life-hacks. This showcases a different and more sustainable approach to health and fitness. I can lead by example and show a healthy, balanced and achievable lifestyle that includes food for fun and fuel, functional movement, dynamic exercises, a little strength, some hypertrophy and some skills, because we’re working to have it all!
