What are your personal fitness goals?

My personal fitness goals are to explore deeper into the vast world of fitness. When it comes to fitness I get excited when I learn about new techniques, strategies and training. I am always eager to do research about it and if it sounds safe and will benefit me to reach my body goals, I will definitely incorporate it into my workout plan. One of my goals is get to know my body more, increase my strength, flexibility and overall fitness. Through my fitness journey I want to maintain good mental health as I also believe that if you are not mentally stable you won’t be able to progress in your physical fitness.


How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?

For me having the Biogen Face Of Fitness ambassadorship would give me a platform to connect with a larger audience. It would give me a voice to speak out and help direct those who want to start their fitness journey but need that support and who need someone that will be there for them when they feel like giving up. The knowledge I have gained throughout my personal fitness journey along with my personal experiences I will use and share to inspire and motivate those beautiful women who want to set realistic goals for themselves. 

What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?

This is me in my head “Get up, just Get up Michelle. No one is going to do it for you, No Excuses! Move that beautiful body and get cracking into your day”

Also me “Michelle you got this, Breathe … Now starting to self-talk out loud… Believe in yourself, you are amazing, stay focused and let’s achieve those goals.”


Any noteworthy sporting or fitness achievements we should know about?

In my final year of studying Office Administration, my class nominated me to compete in the Campus Health Hero Campaign. I accepted the nomination and set out to compete for the Title. It was a voting competition and contestants had to do a motivational speech in front of all the last year students on campus. I always give my all and a little extra so I decided to also entertain them with a do-along Zumba workout. Going that extra mile really paid off in the end and I claimed the Title of Northlink College Campus Health Hero 2017.

Tell us about your fitness lifestyle

Currently I am focusing on Body conditioning. I do a lot of strength training. I divide my workout according to body parts. A brief example below;

Mondays Legs day

Tuesday-Core with minimal cardio

Wednesday-Arms, Shoulders and chest

Thursday-Full-body HIIT/ 30 Min Kickboxing,Muay Thai and Kung Fu Session(Youtube)


Saturday-Train the body part I really want to show off twice.

Sunday –Rest day/ some cardio like skipping, dancing or jumps

I find that with my fast metabolism I burn fat really quickly therefore I limit the amount of cardio I do, however my body loves the heart racing exercises like  sprinting, jumping or skipping. I also do some basic flexibility exercises with my daughter sometimes( she’s more advanced than me) Depending on how hard I hit my previous sessions would determine the amount of rest days I would take, for me recovery is just as important as training. 

On the nutrition side I eat three healthy meals a day with snacks in between. So I would have two boiled eggs with some sausage and avocado for breakfast, lunch I would have white Thai rice with vegetables and chicken fillets and for supper I would have whatever grandmother is cooking whether it is fried fish with sweet potato or macaroni and cheese with a salad, my grandmother enjoys making healthy dishes. I pre-pack my breakfast, snacks and lunch the night before for work and then I will have my supper at home. Snacks would be fruits like oranges, bananas, and Biogen snack bars.


Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?

I believe that I can really make a change in the lives of others, I have a natural caring personality and I truly want to help those who want to get started on a healthier pathway that leads to happiness. As I grow I want to see them grow and prosper in their goals. This is more than just a competition for me, this is a life changing experience and I am loving every moment of it. I am committed and a hard worker who always strives to better myself. Working with a team would be great fun and interacting with like minded people will be a privilege.
