I’m a professional dancer who grew to love fitness because of dancing, but it’s so much more than that. I travelled extensively and danced on some of the most beautiful stages around the world. Three days before the British Championships, I broke both my elbows during a rehearsal. I was told that I might never regain my full range of mobility, but that wasn’t an option for me. After reconstructive surgery, an enormous amount of physiotherapy and a long road to recovery, I was able to be back on stage doing what I love. If it weren’t for all the strengthening exercises, training and my determination to get back on the floor, it could have gone differently. I can’t even begin to describe the feeling of regaining my strength after being so helpless. I hope to encourage and help others to never give up and to reach their full potential. Beyond the discipline, correct nutrition and endorphin rush, I love spending time with my family, friends and furbabies. I’m also a firm believer that you should work hard and play harder.

How does fitness fit into your lifestyle?
Fitness is a big part of my life, not only because my career is physically active but because I rely on it for my sanity. Nothing is more addictive than that post-workout glow. Training has always been a big part of my life and I would feel completely lost without it. I can’t be anyone else other than the truest form of myself while I’m training. I always set a dedicated time to train or stretch. If I don’t have the time, I will squat while making my coffee or brushing my teeth. I appreciate every day that I can push my body to new limits and incorporate my fitness regimen wherever and whenever I can.
What are your personal fitness goals?
To create a mindset that is capable of anything. I strive to be a healthier version of myself daily and to maintain the passion I have for self improvement. My fitness journey has taught me that with the right mindset and a dash of discipline, you can do absolutely anything you put your mind to. Some days it can be difficult to stay motivated and those are the exact days when we need to push harder. Failure is not fatal, it’s the courage to continue that counts. My fitness goal is to keep on showing up, to never give up and to let go of any limiting beliefs. To create a beautiful balance between nutrition and fitness to reach my maximum potential.
