Tell us more about yourself
What are your personal fitness goals?
My focus at the moment is to continue meeting small milestones for mobility and functionality that improve my overall abilities and comfort. I am also working on my strength and endurance. This entails increasing my reps on bodyweight exercises and high-intensity resistance training with a focus on low-impact exercises. I want to show up for myself, listen to my body and rest but never give up.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
My main motivation is to give accessible and helpful advice to people who are starting to train for the first time, or those who are intimidated to start again. I would use the platform to share my message of training from a place of service, gratitude, love and kindness for your body. I would like to build a community of support for women who have been in accidents and are in the process of recovering as I broke my back, pelvis and left wrist in an accident 3 years ago. I would love to share my recovery journey and the many techniques, tips, exercises, food and supplements that continue to help me daily to do and be the best I can be.
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit.
Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
My fitness lifestyle is adaptable and flexible with a focus on mobility, flexibility, resistance training and, most recently, ballet. I don’t hate myself if I miss a day or have to switch it up or even take the day off. It’s all about listening to your body and its needs. I drink a lot of water in the day and maintain an omnivorous diet. My diet mantra is ‘ everything in moderation’ but I don’t add sugar to anything. I strongly believe our body is our temple and I treat mine accordingly.
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
I am the Biogen Face of Fitness because I am brave, inspirational, positive, gracious, energetic and
natural. I know that the fitness journey is not an easy one for everyone and it is a challenge to start again, but anything is possible if you set your mind to it.
