Lives: Cape Town
I am a small town girl living out her passion in the most beautiful city in South Africa. I love running, the mountains, the beach, living a healthy, well balanced lifestyle and spending time with my cute little bosties, family and friends. I feel so blessed and fortunate to call Cape Town home over the past 9 years where I’ve had the pleasure of helping change many people’s lives through health and fitness. I grew up in a small town in the Eastern Cape called Grahamstown, where I graduated with a BSc hons degree in Sports Science and Ergonomics. Fitness, health and wellness has been my passion since a very young age. I believe in a holistic approach to exercise and wellbeing – if your mind isn’t healthy then you are not healthy. I am passionate about helping others. Motivating people to reach their full potential. Inspiring others to reach for their dreams and shoot their shot! If I can do it, then you can most definitely do it, too. I love watching people strive for success and, most importantly, I love seeing people succeed and reach their goals. Whether finishing their first race, completing a 12-week program, losing the last 5 kilos, dropping 4 dress sizes or just showing up to all of their sessions for the first time in years. Any goal written down is a plan, and I love helping people make that plan a realistic and attainable goal.

How does fitness fit into your lifestyle?
Fitness, health and wellness is my lifestyle. I believe in leading from the front and practicing what I preach. If I tell my clients, friends, family and social media followers to follow a certain way of life in terms of health and fitness, then I definitely need to do the same. I follow a very easy 85%/15 % rule – 85% of the time I live on healthy, well balanced, colourful whole foods, preferably cooked and prepared by me in the kitchen, then 15% of the time I allow myself my favourite ”cheats”, which normally consist of chocolate, bubbles and a cheese board. I love food, I love eating and I love exercise. I know there’s so many people out there who are exactly the same. My goal is to show them that they can have the body of their dreams by following a healthy, well balanced lifestyle and by taking part in really fun exercise sessions.
I lead a very busy lifestyle, working 13-hour days, leaving home early and coming home late. This type of lifestyle has taught me to always be prepared. To pack my lunch box every night before bed. To plan my diary so that I know exactly when I have time to exercise and when I have a spare hour or two to go for a run along the beach and refill my ‘cup’. You cannot pour from an empty cup. I have learnt that it’s so important to look after yourself because if you are happy and fulfilled, you will automatically do better at everything else. Exercise and fitness is one of the ways I become rejuvenated and refill my cup so that I can give back to everyone that knows me.
What are your personal fitness goals?
To quote one of my favourite sayings: Your biggest and only competition in life is the person staring back at you in the mirror. My goal is to be better than what I was yesterday. Even if it’s just 1% growth, by completing baby steps moving forward you are able to reach massive goals in the long run. I love running and outdoor fitness competitions but because of COVID regulations and restrictions, we haven’t been able to partake in many over the past 18 months. I think this has given all of us a brilliant opportunity to look at ourselves from a totally different perspective as fitness professionals and grow, strengthen and develop a whole new set of fitness and health goals. I loved this time period as I’ve realised that as much as I love competing against others, I love to grow and develop my personal knowledge about health and fitness more and then have the ability to relay all of this information to others. One of my biggest goals is to create an all inclusive fitness family – whether on social media or in a gym – that helps people reach their full potential through the power of exercise.
