What are your personal fitness goals?
I want to increase my knowledge, understanding and experience even more by furthering my studies and education in the Health and Fitness Industry.
It has always been a lifelong dream of mine to become 100% a part of the fitness industry but I only recently (Oct 2019) decided to make the career change and dedicate my whole heart to the fitness industry.
I have a certification qualification in Personal training but I also want to achieve a Diploma in Personal training. The package I looked at includes the following: A Group Instructor course, online Bootcamp course, Sports Psychology course, Life Coaching certificate, Sport Nutrition Diploma and Social Media Management. I also want to broaden my horizons and help people with special needs such as exercising for children and pregnant women. (Special populations course).
I would love to help children/young adults with athletics training in the future and make use the Sports Conditioning courses available.
My goals are a vision of things I would love to accomplish but things do not always turn out the way you wish or in vision because our future is not in our hands. This is just a glimpse of my future plans:
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
The first person you need to lead, is yourself. You need to be consistent, prioritise and disciplined in order to succeed. I want to be a good role model for others by helping them to identify what’s important, make it a priority and have the discipline to live out that priority everyday. “Success lies not in the result but in the effort. Being the best is NOT at all important; doing the best is all that matters! Mistakes are embarrassing when they happen but years later, you have a collection of mistakes, called Experience, which leads you to Success! … Past is experience, Present is experiment”
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
“Exercise is a blessing, not a chore. One should be grateful.”
Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
I maintain a healthy lifestyle all year round. Ever since I decided to ditch alcohol, my life and health changed for the better. I listen to my body and take care of it. If I don’t exercise or eat correctly, I don’t feel good. My body craves both exercise and healthy food. I choose to stay active outside the gym and improvise no matter where I am, I will always find ways to be active and exercise. I flourish on discipline, routine and equilibrium.
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
I have big dreams and it doesn’t just concern my own well being but those of others. I have such a huge respect and understanding for the fitness industry. It has become such an undeniable part of our daily lives and we need to make people more aware of the dangers of living an unhealthy lifestyle.
Fitness for me is not just a career, it’s a passion which strikes up a stirring within my heart and I really want to help others in any way possible (I don’t know it ALL but I do want to make a difference, even if it can be in one person’s life…that will bring such bliss to my heart).
I am proud of myself and my accomplishments and I believe that women should start taking more credit for their accomplishments and start acknowledging that they are more capable of achieving their goals than they think/believe they are. It would be such a tremendous blessing and honor to represent the title of being the new Biogen Face of Fitness and such a fulfilling and rewarding role that I do believe I am capable of because I believe in myself.
