My fitness journey started about 3-4 years ago when I desperately wanted to be more active but just didn’t have the confidence to go to the gym. I had always played hockey and team sports in high school but once you are on your own, it becomes more difficult. I then joined a CrossFit gym and that changed my entire vision on life. I realised how much I love fitness and becoming a better version of myself. I became obsessed with fitness and nutrition and it never stops. There is always more to learn! Once I gained the confidence back, I joined a gym and regularly went to work on my weaker areas and started becoming a healthier person. I drank more water than anything else and chose healthier meal options without even thinking about it. That’s when I knew everything I went through and had learned can be given to the next person. I then started my own health and fitness business and now live to inspire others and help them achieve their goals in life.

How does fitness fit into your lifestyle?
I am a full-time project manager and work from 8-5 during the week. I have to make time around my job to train, which I have always managed to fit in according to my goals. While off comp prep, I go to CrossFit or boxing at least 3 times a week and train whenever I feel like it. During comp prep, I wake up at 4:30 am to get my workout in and then hit my cardio goals after work. This sounds tiring but when you have a goal in mind, these things become easier. I believe my experience in project management actually assists me to plan my routine and stick to it because I’ve learnt how important planning is, and a great plan results in great outcomes.
What are your personal fitness goals?
I am currently prepping for my first bodybuilding debut in the Wellness category. I’ve always been competitive and finally had the courage to put my body and mind to the test! My overall fitness goals are to remain healthy and be comfortable in my body for as long as it takes. I don’t always have to be or look stage-ready but I always want to be able to go hiking with my friends or be able to try new activities while travelling. I never want to be “too old” or “too tired” to do anything that I should enjoy. For me, it’s all about staying healthy and taking care of my body while I’m young so no one else has to when I’m older.
