What are your personal fitness goals?
One of my main goals is to live by example for my kids by maintaining a healthy, active and balanced life . I want to be able to do anything with them, and one day when I’m 70 I want to be able to run around with my grandkids. Yes, I want to be a cool grandma! God gave us this body and it’s our responsibility to look after it. This is one of the “why I train” reasons I remind myself of when I have an off day. To reap the benefits later you have to put in the effort now.
More specific goals include, getting stronger and fitter and competing again next year, not only in a bikini fitness competition but a warrior race or 2 with my hubby and our friends.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
Once again, by leading by example – I would like to inspire women not to be like me but to be the best versions of themselves. I want to show women that it is possible to still be a wife, a mother, work and maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle WITHOUT sacrificing time with your family and by still being YOU.
With a brand like Biogen, I think the motto is perfect… For results you want… because WE alone are responsible to achieve the results we want.
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.

Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
I do a minimum of 5 workouts per week, which consists of body weight and light weight exercises and cardio. (Man, I miss the gym 😉 ) My cardio includes running, or riding bicycles with the kids etc. I try and keep my eating habits clean, but I still have a cheat meal over the weekends. I want to maintain a healthy lifestyle where I don’t alienate myself from my family and I don’t have to take my cooler bag with pre-packed meals everywhere I go. In the end it’s all about planning and making the right choices like rather opting for the healthy options instead of the unhealthy ones (salad instead of fries, you know).
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
I’ve been following Face of Fitness since 2014 and always looked up to the ladies who entered and only dreamt of the day I would be good enough. But I think that’s where we make the mistake thinking; that will never be me… I’m not the best or the fittest, but this is the best version of me. I’m authentic in every aspect of my life. I embrace my body with all the imperfections and I live a healthy balanced life. I am not some extraordinary person but a normal woman that other ladies can relate to and hopefully be inspired by.
