What are your fitness goals?
1. To keep active while studying, working and socializing. This not only includes going to the gym, but also going for walks/hikes with friends, taking the stairs instead of the lift in malls, etc.
2. To feel comfortable in my own skin and happy with the way I look, but still recognize that there is always room for improvement.
3. I would like to start competing in bikini competitions in 2019/2020.
4. To motivate people around me to be healthier, by increasing their physical activity and focussing on nutrition. I am currently working with a group of people to start an annual competition at my work (FNB Digital Offices – Fairlands) that motivates people to reach their fitness goals by the year end function. I also initiated #fitfridays at my work, where people come to work in their gym clothes on fridays. It gives me great joy to see how many people want to participate in helping others to be healthier and I would like to start similar initiatives outside of my work environment as well.
Why do you think you’re the USN Face of Fitness?
I am the next face of fitness because I know how to make fitness a priority in my very busy schedule. I also encourage people to make healthier choices and am actively looking for more ways to do so.
I am a very goal-driven person and I believe that my healthy lifestyle played a significant role in reaching the goals I set for myself. I would love to motivate people to use a fit and healthy lifestyle as a driver to achieve the goals (not just fitness goals, but career and life goals) they set for themselves. I am very proud of the fact that I got both my Actuarial science degree and honours degree in the minimum time required to do so. I am also currently working while studying to qualify as an actuary. On top of all that I am a very social person and in a serious relationship. I believe that all of this could help me motivate people to have a ‘you-can-do-it-all’ mentality that should be kickstarted by a healthier lifestyle.
As a young professional I work long hours and supplements have helped me a lot with my nutrition. I love the USN brand and have been using their supplements for at least 3 years now. It made my life so much easier (and tastier) and I recommend it to all my friends who start their fitness journey. Since my love for the USN brand is genuine and long-standing, I already feel like a USN ambassador in my heart.
Everything I know about fitness and nutrition I taught myself. Throughout the years I have gained a great deal of knowledge, through trial and error as well as reading up on the internet. I would love to help people by preventing them from making the same mistakes I did.
I am an extreme extrovert and I’ve been told that I am very approachable. This allows me to help a lot of people.
