What are your personal fitness goals?
To secure a top 3 finish at the Warrior Race National Champs 2020, and a top 3 age group finish at the South African Obstacle Course Race (SAOCR) series. I also want to qualify for the Spartan Race Trifecta World Champs in 2021, and complete a 70.3 Ironman triathlon and the 5150 Bela-Bela triathlon in 2021. I am also working to improve my 5km, 10km and 21km running times.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
I would continue to take the lead from other strong women who are challenging stereotypes. Fitness is diverse and as a Biogen and Fitness magazine brand ambassador, I would be able to reach a wider audience and inspire women of all shapes and sizes to achieve their goals in life.
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
Step into the game: Get up and fight back.
Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
My training involves learning how to combat obstacles, while building strength and endurance. I have started incorporating mountain biking and open water swimming into my training and increased my running mileage. I am busy transitioning to a plant-based diet as I am lactose intolerant.
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
I am the warpaint wearing OCR girl with the blue hair. OCR taught me so much about myself and how hard I can push myself physically and mentally. I have learnt to face challenges and overcome all obstacles (even fear of heights), not only on the course but also in life. I wish to inspire all girls and women and show that they can achieve anything they set their mind to.
