Tell us more about yourself:
What are your fitness goals?
My primary goal is to keep fitness part of my daily routine. I keep myself motivated and push myself out of my comfort zone by setting big goals, like entering the USN Face of Fitness, because this helps me to remain committed to my training and keeps me focused. I want to be fit and healthy for the long run and achieving this will be very rewarding. I also plan to start monitoring my vital statistics more closely and keep these in check for the sake of my health.
Why do you think you’re the USN Face of Fitness?
Women today lead extremely busy lives. The demands of my profession, my two beautiful kids who are in school, and looking after my home is a huge commitment. I start my day as early as 4am to exercise and find other helpful ways to manage my weight and maintain good health. I believe that a healthy body leads to healthy mind.
I was also overweight, so I understand the pain, frustration and the challenge of breaking through and changing an unhealthy lifestyle and mindless eating habits. Today I’m blessed and thankful to have overcome these challenges in my life and have a story to tell others who may be in the same situation.
It is never too late to make the decision to living a better, healthier lifestyle. Yes, it requires sacrifice, but the reward is worth it. I’m living proof! Your mind is a powerful tool and consistency is key, but everything boils down to doing the basics right. I constantly perform a personal check to remind myself to stay on track.
