Lives: Port Elizabeth
I like to think of myself as strong and independent, but as I have gotten older, I have recognised that there is also a time where I have been weak and dependent on God and those that he puts in my life to help me through certain seasons. I am extremely goal-oriented and am very passionate about health and fitness. I have grown a new kind of passion for nutrition and I am constantly researching and trying to find the latest and most reputable advice online and would love to study a part-time nutrition and fitness course. I am pursuing my goal of becoming a CA , but this will definitely not be my end destination. I consider this to be the foundation on which I will hopefully build my own business one day, which will undoubtedly be based on health and fitness. I love working hard and training hard and spending time with the people I love.

How does fitness fit into your lifestyle?
I train approximately 8 times a week. It is the thing that I look forward to every day. I work from 8-5 , but what gets me through most days is knowing that I get to go and train after work. I get to push myself and grow every single day and I am so grateful to have a healthy, functioning body to be able to do it with which I will never take advantage of by not exercising. I know we were created to move and I know which hormones get released while we’re exercising, which is why I know that it must be good. I am passionate about becoming an “all-rounder” In terms of my fitness and would like to be fit, powerful and strong and not only one element as I believe that all are important for overall wellness, fitness and aesthetics.
What are your personal fitness goals?
My personal fitness goals involve striving to actually be fit and healthy rather than just looking fit and healthy. I have tried this approach, which led to nearly being the exact opposite of what I would now perceive as being fit and healthy. This for me would include becoming more running fit with better endurance, becoming stronger through resistance training and becoming more powerful by following a structured crossfit programme.
