What are your personal fitness goals?
I would like to complete an IronMan event, and get to a place where my body is fit and strong enough to do a 60km and then a 100km trail run. I am also working towards completing my personal training course. Once I have that I can use the information to help others achieve their fitness goals.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
I have for a long time played with the idea of hosting either weekend retreats or day/morning wellness workshops. The idea is to get wellness experts, like fitness, yoga, pilates instructors, nutritionists, mental health coaches, running coaches and the like for the day or morning, and invite people to join for an informative engagement and practical session with relevant professionals. The idea is to expose people to what a healthy lifestyle is about and the different options to get in shape and stay healthy and happy in a fun way. With the support and marketing exposure of Biogen, something like this could be more achievable than doing it alone.
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?

Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
Most days start with a 4.30am hour long meditation session. On weekdays I will either fit in a run, a HIIT workout or a strength training session. I do not have a set morning or evening time to train as I fit it in according to my kids’ schedule and what works best on the day. Weekends usually consist of a longer trail run with friends. I also film daily fitness videos for clients, which are short, repeatable routines to fit into a busy woman’s schedule. I blog twice a week on a wellness related topic. I am very aware of what I eat daily, making sure to get in enough protein and staying away from sugar and refined carbs as much as possible. I supplement my diet with supplements.
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
Being 45, I am able to connect with a wider audience and show women that even with the demands of kids, a job, and family responsibilities, it is possible and essential to schedule in fitness and make it a daily habit. By living a life where I prioritize wellness and make fitness fun, I can lead by example and encourage other women to not only be active, but to incorporate healthy eating and practice being mindful every day. Because I love being active outdoors and participating in different events, I can inspire women to get out there too and overcome their fears or reservations.
