I started my fitness journey when I was 17 years old in 2018 during high school for my mental health. I had a very difficult experience growing up. I never had self-esteem because other kids would make fun of me. I didn’t even believe in myself or love myself. Emotionally, I was damaged due to situations I used to face at home. After joining the gym, I started finding myself and started to accept who I am. I started loving my body and even gained confidence. I can wear shorts without caring what other people think of me. Gym has become my lifestyle and more of a therapy. There’s nothing that makes me happier than going to the gym. I can’t even skip two days without working out. I cancel dates just to go and work out on me. It’s not about me looking good but about me developing myself each and every day.

How does fitness fit into your lifestyle?
It’s something I do every day. At the moment, my life is based on my fitness lifestyle and my studies. I go to the gym 6 times a week. I only rest on Fridays. Instead of having fun with other kids on weekends, I’ll be lifting weights. After that, I go home to rest and recover my muscles by sleeping. I’ve got no lifestyle except this fitness lifestyle. It has helped me a lot in life. I would have probably committed suicide if it wasn’t for the therapy I get from the gym. Lifting weights or doing cardio is when I release all the pain.
What are your personal fitness goals?
To get stronger every day, and have a healthy body and mind so I can live a longer and more fulfilled life.
