What are your personal fitness goals?
My fitness goals are muscle growth, strengthening my body and speed. My goal is to attain these results in a healthy way. My aim to improve my physique in every way possible.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
I lead by example. Through my health and fitness journey I have realized that people don’t believe what they hear but they believe what they see. I will make sure I am seen on all social media platforms. My health and fitness walk is one where many females around South Africa younger and older than me can relate to. I pride myself in my truth;reality and story. My truth is , I was skinny but not healthy and definitely not physically strong. After I took a personal decision to change my look on what is healthy? What is strong? Then my life changed. I will also use my #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to remind women that fitness is a journey, you need to be patient with yourself and all you have to do is start. Start small, start slow and once you start, commit and keep going
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
You don’t have to be extreme, just consistent.
Any noteworthy sporting or fitness achievements we should know about?
I have represented 3 provincial teams in netball.
I am also currently in the SA Protea Netball squad
Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
I am a netball player, so my training alternates depending on whether I’m on or off season.
I train at least 5 times a week off season and about 6 times a week in season. During my off season I focus more on conditioning, I work on my strength such as legs and arms and all the other areas I need improvement on that I can’t work on in-season like speed, agility and elevation . My sessions include boxing which is something I really enjoy, skipping, heavy weight training, spinning, netball court sessions where I focus mostly on ball work and netball skills. I start and end my workouts with a 5KM Jog .
