Lives: Centurion, Pretoria
I am a very outgoing, bright and positive 19 year old. I love to socialise and I see it as one of my personality traits. I easily get along with people, mainly because, even after years of meeting new people, it still fascinates me how we all have our own story and I want to hear about their stories. I am very optimistic and believe that we really should take every chance we get – it wouldn’t have come your way if you weren’t ready. When I was 3 years old my parents got divorced and it was just me and my mom (my Dad and I recently started working on our relationship again and it’s going great!). She is my rock and means the world to me! She helped me through so much and I could never thank her enough. She taught me how to be the strong and independent woman I am today. I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ and I wouldn’t be where I am today, mentally, emotionally and physically if it wasn’t for Him pulling me through. His unconditional love gives me indescribable strength and fills me with so much peace and love. I really have a big heart and so much love and energy to give. I want to be the person who puts a smile on someone’s face. I want to be a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen because we need more love in a time like this.

How does fitness fit into your lifestyle?
I train 5-6 times a week and I live a healthy lifestyle. Consistency is key. My workouts are about 40-70 minutes because I’d rather grind for an hour than chit-chat and end up spending 2 hours in the gym and not get in the full workout. I fuel my body with all the nutrients it needs and make sure to fit in something sweet now and then. I have a highlight on my Instagram page named ‘food’ and ‘recipes’ where I post what I mostly eat throughout the day. I’m not someone who eats 3 boring salads a day, though. I believe that if I want my body to give me the results and the energy I want, I have to eat and fuel her. So I really love food but I eat and do everything in moderation.
What are your personal fitness goals?
I recently started focusing on my health and I fell in love. To keep it short and sweet, my fitness goals are mainly to stay in shape (but I do believe one can always look better and work harder) and to maintain this lifestyle. I want to be healthy. I want my body to be ‘treated’ the way it deserves to be treated and, most importantly, I want to keep this good relationship I have with ‘her’. I wasn’t always as happy and confident with how I looked, so I decided to change that and this journey is far from over.
