Catching up with Talitha

Take us through a typical day for you.

Every day is different. A day in my life starts with morning cardio. I then see clients and give classes, and then do my weight training in the evening.

How do you like to structure your training?

I like mixing up my cardio, including Dance Fit classes or studio work with other forms of high-intensity work. I also like to try new things with weight training every week to keep it interesting and keep my body progressing.

What style of training works best for your body?

Mixing weight training with Tabatas and Dance Fit classes during the week. I love anything functional incorporating multi-joint movements. Basically anything that keeps my heart rate elevated and makes the workout enjoyable. 

Where did you fitness journey begin?

I grew up in a fit household – my mom owned a private gym so I was exposed to the lifestyle from a young age. It is truly a passion and it is my ‘happy drug’.

What are your future goals?

My immediate focus is on completing the Dance Fit video. Beyond that I would love to push the #bodylove movement to empower women to embrace their bodies and commit to a healthy lifestyle that includes exercise. I would also like to compete next year, and I want to ensure that I make the most of all the backing I currently have as the reigning USN Face of Fitness.
