Tell us more about yourself
What are your personal fitness goals?
My training is centred around triathlons. I have entered next year’s Ironman Austria, which takes place in the first week of July. Improving the time on my runs, cycles and swims is my immediate goal while maintaining sufficient strength through specific weight training.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
Life has thrown many obstacles my way: I had overcome meningitis and a broken leg and worked hard during rehab to come back fighting. The darkest of times taught me that there is nothing I cannot achieve. I now live to inspire and empower and to remind all women that we can be and achieve anything we want, irrespective of racial backgrounds or our circumstances.
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
“What kind of life do you want to live? Success is a choice that only you can make for you. First comes the choice then comes the commitment.” – Billy Alsbrooks
Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
My training consists of boxing 3 times a week, swimming and running two to three times a week with outdoor road cycling on weekends. Specific weight training is incorporated into evening sessions 3 days a week with a HITT session once a week. I ensure that my body is fuelled with the appropriate nutrition, balancing carbohydrates, protein and fats as well as a number of Biogen supplements and vitamins daily.
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
I entered to show women that you don’t necessarily have to be in the fitness industry to live a good, healthy lifestyle. All you need is a goal, some passion, grit and the right mentality. Anyone can do anything they set their mind to. I am proof that you can incorporate a healthy lifestyle and a demanding career.
