Tell us more about yourself:
What are your fitness goals?
I’d like to inspire people more than I already do. I aim to be the picture of wellness that they aspire to. I tend to focus on well-being more than just physical fitness as i believe a holistic approach to life brings and maintains the balance that we all need to function at our optimum. My personal fitness goals are based more around getting heart-healthy this summer and getting involved in more rock climbing and adventure races.
Why do you think you’re the USN Face of Fitness?
Life as we know it is changing drastically. It’s clear that taking care of our bodies is more important than ever. The average person must aim for vitality – to create stability of mind, body and soul, and to feel, look and be the best version of themselves. I would love to be able to show people how easy it is to choose the healthy options, to transform the way you think about yourself, and to let go of the idea that “you’re too big, too tired or too busy to worry about your well-being”. I have also worked through a life-altering leg lengthening operation, so I have experience in recovery. I’m well aware of how many people need motivation, and need to be guided along the path to achieving optimal health. No one really knows how good their bodies are designed to actually feel, or how being healthy and fit can change their life experience. I know all this as I deal with it every day in my yoga studio, so I have firsthand experience. I am ready to be more of a public figure with my enthusiasm, and to expand the reach of my work to anyone and everyone! I have always aspired to make a big difference in as many lives as i can and I believe my time to do so is now!
