What are your personal fitness goals?
I was diagnosed with Scoliosis when I was 12. After back surgery, doctors told me that I wouldn’t be able to exercise again. This changed me as I was always a very sporty person. Seven years ago, I decided to make a change and prove that I could challenge myself and push my limits to be the strongest and healthiest version of myself. My fitness goals are to continue this journey, to get fitter, stronger and to be able to empower others in the same position. That is why I’m studying for my Personal Training diploma. I want to reach out to others facing similar difficulties and help them see that they too can achieve their fitness goals.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
There are many younger fitness influencers and not enough older ones. I feel I could reach out to a broader audience and help women realise that it’s never too late to make a lifestyle change and go after your dreams. I’m all about empowering women, positivity and upliftment.
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
One day or day one! You decide!
Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
I normally train at the gym 5 times a week. I try to incorporate HIIT and strength training in my daily routine. Before lockdown I was the strongest that I’ve been and my goal was to train and participate in the Spartan races and it’s still one of my goals!
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
I think I have what it takes to motivate and inspire women of all ages. I often get women coming to me to chat or ask for advice. I’m outgoing and I’m able to engage with people on different levels. I’m strong and determined, yet kind and compassionate, which are qualities of a good ambassador. I’m confident I can help others achieve the same!
